  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion flakes

For the Glaze:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary, or 1 tbsp fresh
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¾ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup red wine
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water

The Process

Prepare the Meatballs:

  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, parsley, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion flakes. Mix well.
  • Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs.

Make the Glaze:

  • In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add rosemary, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add red wine and broth to the saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Add the slurry to the sauce and stir until thickened.

Cook the Meatballs:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
  • Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Pour the glaze over the meatballs and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce coats the meatballs.

Serve the meatballs over pasta, rice, or with a side of vegetables.
