- ½ pepper
- 1.25 lb ground turkey, (93/7 lean)
The Process
1. Prepare the Marinade:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, oil, red wine, brown sugar, soy sauce, dried rosemary, garlic powder, and pepper.
2. Marinate the Turkey:
- Place the ground turkey in a large bowl and pour the marinade over it.
- Use your hands to mix the marinade into the turkey, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
3. Form the Patties:
- Divide the marinated turkey into 4 equal portions.
- Form each portion into a patty that's about ½ inch thick.
4. Cook the Burgers:
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Place the turkey patties on the hot surface and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
5. Serve:
- Serve the burgers on your favorite buns with your preferred toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite sauce.
