A Hearty Bowl of Comfort: Kale and Ground Turkey Sausage Soup
This hearty and flavorful soup is a perfect winter warmer. Packed with nutrient-rich kale, savory ground turkey sausage, and a medley of aromatic spices, this soup is as delicious as it is nourishing.
What You Will Need
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 bunch kale, tough center ribs discarded, leaves finely chopped
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp onion flakes
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp teaspoon smoked paprika
- Freshly ground pepper
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 can chopped tomatoes in purée
- 1 1/2 cups frozen lima beans
- 1 lbs andouille sausage meatballs
The Process
1. Make the Andouille-spiced Turkey Sausage Meatballs (Go here for the recipe.)
2. After the meatballs have been prepared and cooked, add to the soup ingredients.
3. Cover and cook for at least 20 minutes, simmer gently until the kale is tender.
