What You Will Need
Ingredients
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion flakes
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme leaf, or 1 tbs fresh
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs wine vinegar
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tbs capers
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs or substitute
- 1 lb ground turkey, (93/7)
The Process
1. Prepare the Spice Blend: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion flakes, sea salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
2. Mix the Turkey: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, spice blend, olive oil, wine vinegar, lemon juice, soy sauce, capers, and bread crumbs. Mix gently until just combined.
3. Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties about ½ inch thick.
4. Cook the Burgers:
- Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
5. Serve: Serve burgers on your favorite buns with your preferred toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite sauce.
