French-Style Turkey Burgers

A gourmet innovation on a classic! This French-inspired turkey burger recipe is packed with flavor and perfect for a weeknight dinner or a backyard barbecue. The combination of herbs, spices, and tangy sauce elevates the humble turkey burger to new heights.

What You Will Need

Ingredients

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion flakes
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme leaf, or 1 tbs fresh
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 1 tbs wine vinegar
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tbs capers
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs or substitute
  • 1 lb ground turkey, (93/7)

The Process

1. Prepare the Spice Blend: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion flakes, sea salt, pepper, and dried thyme.

2. Mix the Turkey: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, spice blend, olive oil, wine vinegar, lemon juice, soy sauce, capers, and bread crumbs. Mix gently until just combined.

3. Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties about ½ inch thick.

4. Cook the Burgers:

  • Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  • Skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

5. Serve: Serve burgers on your favorite buns with your preferred toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite sauce.
